Map of N. Eastern Virginia and Vicinity of Washington - 1862 This map was created by the Topographical Engineers Office at the Division Headquarters of General Irvin McDowell in the winter of 1862 and revised during that summer. It provides detail of Washington, DC, Arlington, most of Fairfax County, central and southern Loudoun County, and the northernmost tips of Fauquier and Prince William Counties.
