Screen Free Week

Round Hill Outdoors has supported Screen Free Week in the Round Hill Community since 2018. During the first week in May, families are encouraged to take a break from screen-based entertainment like social media and TV in order to rediscover the joys of life away from screens. A healthy childhood depends on creative play to allow kids to explore their physical world, build their curiosity, and expand their imaginations.

In the wake of COVID-19, children and families have become more dependent on digial technologies. Families across the globe have had to loosen their screen time rules in order to work, attend school, and connect with others. Screen Free Saturdays is an opportunity to take a break and recharge. Screen Free Saturdays should be used as a tool to take the time we need to prioritize our families and our well-being. Take a day and encouraged your children to go outside to explore, challenge yourself to find creative ways to spend time indoors and take this opportunity reconnect with your family.
