What is the form of the Town Government?

The Town of Round Hill has a Mayor-Council form of government provided for under Section 15.1.3-D of the Code of Virginia, as amended. The specific responsibilities, authority, and duties of the Town Government are outlined in the Town Charter.

The Mayor is elected for a 2-year term, with a term of office commencing on the 1st of January of each even year (effective 2021).

The Town Council consists of six members, elected at-large, each serving four-year terms, with a term of office commencing on the 1st of January. The Council terms are staggered, with a two-year overlap so that three seats are up for election at each Town election.
