Potomac Appalachian Trail Club (PATC)

The Round Hill Outdoors Committee members participate in the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club (PATC). The PATC is a 100% Volunteer-Supported 501c3 non-profit formed in 1927 who acquires, maintains and protects the trails and lands associated with the AT in the Mid-Atlantic region for the enjoyment of present and future generations. PATC was first of the now 31 Clubs who preserve and protect the A.T. & its side-trails from Maine to Georgia.

The PATC consists of four chapters; the North Chapter, Southern Shenandoah Valley Chapter, Charlottesville Chapter and the newest Chapter, the Blue Ridge Chapter which was formed in 2019 with the help of members from Round Hill Outdoors. The Blue Ridge Chapter serves members in Northern Virginia and the West Virginia Panhandle and places an emphasis on offering family friendly hikes as a form of outreach to the next generation of hiking and backpacking enthusiasts.
